Overview
To successfully do research in any field, researchers must be aware of the work others are doing in the field. To that end, it is important to read scientific papers from the major conferences/journals and be familiar with the foundational papers in the field. Furthermore, when writing papers, it is important to cite these papers and display a knowledge of the field. In this class students will have to read a few papers in the field depending on the number of hours they are taking the course for to get a feel for this process.
Format
Students taking the class for 1-2 hours are required to read 5 papers (1 per week), students taking the class for 3-4 hours are required to read 10 papers (2 per week). After reading each paper fill out a Lit Review form and upload that to your folder in the Google Drive. Students will be asked about the papers they read in class.
The first set of papers will be due on September 18th; each subsequent set of papers will be due every week for the next four weeks.
