Assignment 3: Project Topic Blog Post

Due Date: Sept 10, 2017

Overview
Now that you have been introduced to the different projects, it is time to develop your set of ideas. Choose your top three projects and write a short proposal over each.

Purpose
Having each student write short proposals on their favorite projects gives everyone an equal chance to express their ideas. Forming groups after this initial process will minimize group think and expand the set of project designs.

Format
Each student will write a short proposal on their top three project ideas. This will be in lieu of the regular blog post. Try to be as detailed about your ideas and interests as possible. Furthermore, don't be afraid to be ambitious, even if everything you would lay out here doesn't end up being feasible in the timeline of a single semester, it helps tremendously to have a vision for where the project is going. In your write up include at least the following information:
  • Which project are you interested in working on and why?
  • What is the initial idea for this project?
  • Which of the project requirements have you considered addressing?
  • What qualifications do you have that would help you on this project?
Remember that these proposals are designed to help you expand some of your initial project ideas, and that they will be considered a work in progress. After these initial proposals are returned, each student will present their best proposal to the class.
